I’ve spent a lot of time in Indonesia over the last few years, and one thing that’s hard to miss is that most businesses here don’t put much effort or care into good design. Between all the AI clutter, awful signage, and websites you wouldn’t send your worst enemy to try and navigate, it’s easy to lose hope that anyone here wants to prioritise how their business looks. But lo and behold, I found the one in a million local who gives a damn. His name is Hans, and over the time we’ve worked together, I’m happy to say he’s become a dear friend of mine. His business is now looking so sharp that the competition doesn’t stand the slightest chance.
Hans’ business, Wild Guided, is a tour guide service specialising in guided expeditions across Indonesia, mostly around Lombok, Sumbawa and Flores. Hans has been guiding for over 15 years, and he absolutely kills it. He’s the best in the game at getting us dumb foreigners to all the beautiful sights we dream of seeing. He knows his land inside out and has a mind-boggling number of Mount Rinjani climbs under his belt, so if you’re looking to explore Indo, he’s your man. My job is to get his business in front of everyone who wants to do exactly that.
This project was built mostly from scratch. Hans had an old trekking company website and a Google listing, which gave the new identity a bit of a foundation, but almost everything was completely reworked: website, brand identity, collateral, booking funnel, social media presence, the full kit. Since Hans is a close friend, this is an ongoing project we’ll keep iterating on, in the hope that one day Wild Guided will be the biggest and baddest guide company in Indonesia.
